Taylor hosts its own Envision Film Festival (envisionfilmfestival.com) to recognize the outstanding work of Taylor filmmakers as well as aspiring high school filmmakers. The final awards ceremony, sponsored by Apple, Sony and Final Draft in 2011, included prizes for honored filmmakers. 2011 guests included AMC's Tom Halleen and independent filmmaker Angie Alvarez. Mateo Messina, composer for Juno and Up in the Air was one of three honored guests for the 2010 festival.

The 2012 festival will be held on March 1-3, 2012 with the high school deadline for submissions on January 31st, 2012 (postmarked). Special guests for 2012 include Micheal Flaherty, Walden Media President and Los Angeles film industry pros, Greg and Emily Wilson.
